Electrical Engineer
Lizardos Engineering Associates, P.C., a MEP consulting engineering firm with offices in Mineola, NY and New York City, is seeking experienced Engineers to join our team to work on health care, commercial, industrial, educational, pharmaceutical and municipal projects.

Electrical Engineering candidates will possess the following:

Licensed Professional Engineer preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
-
5+ years’ experience working in a consulting engineering firm
-
Design experience in electrical distribution systems including power, medium voltage power, lighting and fire alarm
-
Experience in preparation of contract drawings and specifications and performing calculations
-
Field survey skills
-
Knowledge of NEC and NYS/NYC codes and standards

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Working knowledge of AutoCAD

MS Word and Excel proficiency
-
Revit experience preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and support the engineering of systems for a variety of projects

Perform calculations and design of systems for large projects
-
Create plans, schematics, equipment selection, load calculations, systems narratives and specifications, system design and layout, field investigation and construction administration

Prepare due diligence and feasibility reports

Attend meetings with other consultants and clients to coordinate the company’s portion of the project

Work in close contact with the entire design team
